Introducing: Yearbooks
There was a small party at the bus stop yesterday when we dropped off our kids after 17 days at home. For being my first school winter break, it was a real doozy of two and a half weeks. Most of it was just me muttering, “I’ll do that when the kids go back to school” to my to-do list. I have contractors to call, doctor appointments to make, passport applications to finish, and a whole heap of work to dive back into.
It’s really easy to find that routine groove again and forget all about the resolutions I made last week. Especially the resolutions that aren’t about me, but are about those kids I just shooed out the door (with all the love in my heart, of course).
So, now that we’re a week into 2024, the groove is grooving, the routine is settling back into its place… how do we make sure we don’t lose sight of those resolutions we made? How do we move forward, even with baby steps? Or even better, how do we check off a whole goal before the end of winter?
Like any good goal, we make a plan. And maybe find a coach who can lead us, motivate us, and help us reach our goals.
Well… it turns out, I am that coach, and I have that plan. It’s called a Yearbook.
The Yearbook helps you in whatever stage you’re in - from wanting to just have it done, to wanting full control and doing it on your own timeline.
What good are having all the photos, if nobody can see them? If your kids can’t look at them, see themselves, see how much they’ve been loved since the beginning?
The Yearbook helps you get those photos into places where your kids can see them - a book, specifically, and takes care of that goal quickly and easily so it’s not weighing on you until 2025.
The complete yearbook option includes the book itself, my services to make said book, a slideshow set to music with your best 200 photos that you can download and watch with your family, and my recommendation of 12 of your photos to print and hang around your house (or conveniently fit into a 12-month calendar).
The head start option gives you just that - a head start on your book. I’ll comb through and select 200 of your best personal photos for your book, and then you can arrange them in the book of your choice, and order the book yourself. It’s a perfect option if you’ve made books before and have a style you want to match, but you just can’t bring yourself to sit down and go through the thousands of photos you took last year. It includes my culling and selection services, the same slideshow as above, and suggestions for 12 of your best photos for you to print for your home.
And the DIY option lets you do it all on your own, with my guidance. Through 5 weekly emails, I walk you through the steps to cull your photos, choose the best ones, select a book vendor, arrange the images in the template, and then stay ahead of the process for next year. This one is completely free, and requires the most of your time and effort. It includes tips, advice, and a spreadsheet of four popular book vendors so you can compare and choose the best one for you without having to check all the websites yourself.
Whatever phase of this goal you’re in, I can help you get this resolution done so your kids can enjoy the photos you’ve taken of them this year, before the end of winter.
And unlike my other photography services, you don’t need to live nearby. This is a project that’s done completely online, using secure, password protected gallery software. Want to learn more? Go to my Yearbooks page and read and sign up. Still have questions? Email me!
