Lifestyle Newborn Photography | Richmond, Virginia

You focus on your new baby.

I’ll focus on you (and the puns).

Something about the newborn stage needs to be easy, and feel natural.

What feels easier and more natural than photos of you snuggling with your family and simply staring at your newborn, in the comfort of your own home?

Stay home, slide on your fuzzy socks and put your feet up.

I’ll come to you.

No studio, no posing, just natural photos of you and your new family enjoying life at home.

All of this new stuff can be completely overwhelming.

As a mom of two, I empathize. It’s hard!

But you don’t have to be a pro at parenting or photography for this.

Lifestyle newborn photography isn’t about perfection.

It’s about you, your family, and the remarkable journey you’re on together, starting now.

Step one:

We’ll have a 15 minute phone consultation to go over the process, detailed pricing, your expectations, and any concerns you might have before we become official. Then, a $300 session fee and a signed digital contract will hold your spot while we wait for your baby to make their appearance.

Fill out the contact form to get started!

A family of four sits together on the floor of the parents' bedroom. Mom is holding their newborn, while Dad is holding their toddler, who is making a crinkly face at Mom. Mom makes a crinkle face back.

Step two:

I’ll come to you, in Richmond or the surrounding counties, masked and camera in hand. We’ll find the best light in your house and hang out for 90 minutes. This gives us time for snacks, diaper changes, and breaks, especially if you have other kids who need some attention, too.

Two weeks later, I’ll send you a slideshow with your fully edited images to ooh and ahh over, where you can choose the collection that best works for you. Which leads us to…

Step three:

Choose your collection!

Along with a virtual stack of digital images, each collection option comes with a print credit, so you can get your favorite pictures where they belong: on the wall, where your family can see them, in albums to keep forever, and/or in gifts for grandparents, aunties, and uncles.

My newborn clients spend between $1000 - $1500 for the session fee and collection.

“I was honestly shocked the photos were so good because I only remember [the baby] being fussy. Thank you 😭💛”

Got Q’s? I’ve got A’s.

  • This is a great question that really depends on your needs and desires. We’ll talk more about this during our phone consultation, but here’s a blog post I wrote that goes into some detail, too.

  • Just let me know when you fill out the contact form that you’re interested in both, and we’ll talk about both in our phone consultation. 30 minute add-on maternity sessions are $450 and include 25 images to download and $90 print credit for the print store.

“She was incredible…”

“We worked with Allison to capture our two week old newborn. She was incredible balancing a sleepy baby, a nosey dog, and overtired parents during our photoshoot. I am very happy with our photos and our experience working with her.”
