Morning Family Photos at Rockwood Park

How early is too early for family photos? Well, it depends. If you have teenagers, 6pm might be too early for them. Wink, wink. But babies and toddlers are often up before the sun and are more than happy to do new things right after breakfast. We took advantage of this baby’s early-riser-attitude and met for family photos at 7:45 in the morning at Rockwood Park back in November.

Despite (or maybe because of) the recent time change, we were all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed first thing in the morning, and were able to meander through this Chesterfield park and find some really spectacular fall color that was still hanging on, even in mid-November.

Babies and toddlers seem to have more energy right after they wake up in the morning, and this one was no exception. Her parents dressed her in layers for the chilly morning, and she brought along her current favorite toy so we could include that in some photos too. Her eyes and outfit popped beautifully next to Mom’s teal sweater, and the gold leaves we found as a backdrop were especially cooperative.

Megan and fam, thank you so much for making me the first thing you did on a Saturday morning! Next time I’ll bring bagels!

Would an early-morning family photography session work best for you and your tiny human(s)? Schedule a call with me and let’s talk about what you’d like to see in your family photos.
