Family Photos at Deep Run Park
I’m always flattered when a family comes from out of town to have me photograph them. Scheduling family photos for an hour of your precious Fall Break, when you’ve come into town for the first time since school started is a whole new level for me. I know how fleeting that little break can feel, and I was honored to document Nicole’s family as they reconnected and we walked around Deep Run Park.
I’ve shot at Deep Run Park twice this year and I’ve been so attracted to the wide open field in the middle of the park. The short grass and long shadows were really fun for me to try some new things with, and allow for some sun flare play and far away shots.
The light changed quickly through our session, moving from late afternoon to early evening and finally that coveted golden hue near the end of our session. It twinkled through the trees and lit up the still-green leaves all around us. (Seriously though, when are the leaves supposed to start changing?)
Thank you, Nicole and family, for granting me access to your time, for meeting me at Deep Run Park, and trusting me (again) to document this time in your life! I hope you love your photos!
